5 Cheap Places to Vacation in PA!

While many PA natives flee the state during the summer in search of Snooki and J-Wow, there are plenty of non-Jersey Shore related things to do 💃. You can have fun within state lines AND save your money for gym/tan/laundry instead 💪. Are people even saying that anymore?! #GTL

Here’s five budget-friendly places to see in PA:

  1. ⛺ PA State Parks - The Keystone State is home to 120 state parks and admission is free! If you'd like to stay and camp, you'll only have to pay around $20 per night, much cheaper than a hotel.
  2. 🐴🥨 Lancaster County - Did you know that PA is the oldest Amish settlement in the United States? Head to Lancaster County to shop for handmade crafts and enjoy a satisfying (yet budget-friendly) meal at a local smorgasbord
  3. 🌆 Philadelphia - YO! You'll have to shell out some cash to grab a tasty cheesesteak, but admission to both the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall is free. Visit the Philadelphia Museum of Art the first Sunday of the month and Pay What You Wish to enter.
  4. 🌄 The Poconos - Enjoy the scenic mountain views of the Pocono mountains on the cheap at one of several affordable motels, or book an Airbnb. Book a room during the week at the Mount Airy Casino Resort and put the savings on black.
  5. 🍫 Hershey & Harrisburg - The state capital of Harrisburg and the chocolate capital of the world just happen to be right near each other! Take a tour of Hershey's Chocolate World for free and then head over for a free tour of the PA capitol building.

🔥Bottom line: Whether you're the outdoorsy type or a city slicker at heart, PA's got a little something for everyone. Pack up the family, hit the road, and keep that wallet happy 💲.
