Here are Five Fast Facts to get you up to speed on Nebraska’s startup sitch:

1. 👔🏢The Big Announcement - NMotion, Nebraska’s premier startup accelerator, announced a new multimillion-dollar investment into growing Nebraska’s startups. To that we say: bring it on!
2. 💰💰The Numbers - NMotion will invest $3.7 million into launching 24 new companies which will create new jobs for Nebraskans. That’s less money than Scott Frost makes, but hopefully will have a much better impact!
3. 🏙️🏙️The Location - This new initiative will be focused on both Lincoln and Omaha. If one city is good, two is better, right?
4. 💵💨The Amount - Companies that are accepted into the accelerator program will receive $100,000. If you’re a small business, that’s definitely an acceleration!
5. 🦉🤓The Guidance - NMotion will also provide free in-person and virtual office hours for any interested startups or small businesses to provide support and mentorship. Both money and experience? It’s hard to get more invested than that!

🔥Bottom line: It is unclear yet how exactly this will affect Paychecks. But, with 24 new businesses on the way in multiple locations, we like the prospects. This sort of assistance is huge for new companies, letting them focus on doing what they do best and growing. Their success will lead to success for Nebraska, too!
