Cincinnati Area Schools Are Getting a Safety Boost! Full List Inside

Keeping the kiddos safe in school is always a number one priority. 🦺 That and making sure they don't grow up to be a total embarrassment! Might wanna tone down that road rage potty mouth, skipper. 🤐

To boost school safety, more than 150 schools in the Cincinnati area are getting a total of $6M in school safety grants...and we've got all the details. 

 

Here’s Five Fast Facts on the new safety money:

  1. ⚠️ Don't Be A Fool, Safety Is Cool! - The funding is part of Ohio's $47M investment in school security upgrades for nearly 1,200 schools. Each school can apply for grants up to $50,000.
  2. 💵 Stop, Drop, and Bankroll - The New Cincinnati Public Schools district is the largest in the region. It received the second largest grant statewide behind Cleveland Municipal Schools.
  3. 🚸 Safety First - The district received $993,320 to pay for updates at 20 of its 64 school buildings.
  4. 🚫 No Stranger Danger - All over the state, schools are using the funds to invest in things like cameras, fingerprint scanners, window film, and badge readers.

🔥Bottom line: School safety seems to be a priority all over the country these days. The world's a wild place! But hopefully, with all these new improvements, kids across the state will stay safe in the classroom. You get an A for effort, Ohio!
