Five companies have announced their plans to add more jobs in the Columbus area - 435 to be exact! Time to polish up that resume and hit those job boards. 📄
Here’s Five Fast Facts about the new opportunities in Columbus:
- 💦 Advanced Drainage Systems - This company plans to add a 107,000-square-foot facility, which will add about 200 jobs. They produce pipes for water drainage and currently have about 4,500 workers, 400 of whom are in central Ohio.
- ☁️ Cologix - This Denver-based cloud services/data center firm plans to pump $150 million into its Worthington Woods Boulevard campus. They'll add 15 jobs, bringing its total Columbus-area headcount to 39.
- 💲 Western Alliance Bank - Their HQ is in Phoenix, but they're planning to open a technology hub in a central Ohio office. They're going to hire about 150 workers.
- 🧑🔬 Ultimate Solutions USA - Known for their automation services within the life science industry, this company plans to invest $300,000 in a warehouse and office space. The new addition will add 30 jobs.
- 🏡 Urban Land Co. - This Columbus-based real-estate company and property management firm plans to expand its Columbus office, adding about 40 jobs to the 26 workers already in central Ohio. They're most interested in hiring project managers, investment analysts, accountants, office managers and social media managers.
🔥Bottom line: The Buckeye State is becoming *quite* the new job hub. A ton of great companies are setting up shop in Ohio these days. And that's great news for local job seekers and wannabe Ohioans looking to relocate. Three cheers for a strong state economy!
