
Nebraska lawmakers recently looked at college prices and said, “Yikes…what if we tried NOT bankrupting everyone?” So they came up with a plan: let people use education savings money for trade schools, too. Because apparently, not everyone dreams of paying $30,000 a year to write essays about Shakespeare when they could be fixing engines, welding stuff, or becoming the hero who saves everyone when the AC breaks in July.

It is a win for the students, a win for the schools, and a major win for anyone who eventually needs a professional to come over and figure out why their toilet is making that weird gurgling noise.
