Are you starting to feel like you've leveled up to God Mode, but your team is still playing the tutorial? There's more art than science to knowing when to move on, so it's different for everyone, but check out these signs that you've officially "outgrown" your current squad at work.
Here are Five Fast Facts about when you've outgrown your current team:
- 📖 You're Basically A Human Encyclopedia - If everyone on your team constantly comes to you for answers, even for things they should totally know, it's a sign. You're the walking, talking Google of your workplace, and that can get exhausting!
- 🥱 Boredom Is Your New Best Friend - Remember when your job was exciting? If now you're spending your days staring at the clock, secretly planning your imaginary vacation, or just generally feeling like a zombie, your brain is probably begging for a new challenge.
- 💡 Your Ideas Get Blank Stares - You come up with brilliant, innovative ideas, but your team just looks at you like you're speaking a foreign language. It's like trying to explain TikTok dances to your grandparents – they just don't get it!
- 😣 You're Not Learning Anything - If your learning curve has flatlined and every day feels like Groundhog Day, you've probably squeezed all the knowledge out of your current role. Your brain needs new snacks! Learning how to perfectly balance a stapler on your nose only goes so far...
- 😱 Daydreaming Of Something Else - If you find yourself secretly browsing job boards or getting super excited when a friend talks about their cool new role, your subconscious is basically yelling, "Get me out of here!"
🔥Bottom line: If one or more of these things is happening to you, it might be time to pack your bags and find a new team that can keep up with your awesomeness. But be careful not to burn bridges - plan your exit, find the right next step, and leave graciously. Don't worry, your old team will eventually find a power up or two...maybe.
