If you’re like us, when it comes time for a vacay you really want to make it memorable! The Evergreen State has loads of great destinations, so here are Five Fast suggestions for your next trip!
- 🏕️Camping - We have more camping choices than you can shake a walking stick at! North Cascades, Colville, Mount St. Helens, Olympic National, and Mt. Rainier National Park are just a few, but there are many more. Each is unique, but you can find wildlife, whale watching, waterfalls, and wandering (that’s as close to “hiking” while starting with “w”). The best part? Paychecks love it since it’s as low as $10-20 per day.
- 🎿Skiing - If snow is your thing, try Crystal Mountain, a premier ski resort close to Mount Rainier. You can stay in the Alta Crystal Resort itself for $300-400 per night, or in one of the nearby towns for significantly less. If you crave powder, this is the destination for you!
- 🍷Walla Walla - Find your culture (and bring your taste buds) in this premier wine region, home to 150+ wineries. Take a walking tour of public art and sculptures, or attend the Walla Walla Symphony Orchestra. Hotels are pretty budget friendly, but you may find yourself spending a lot on wine. No judgment, of course.
- 🐳Orcas Island - For a more rural feel, try Orcas Island. It’s got fantastic scenery and seascapes, beach fun, and great cultural events. You can even stay in a treehouse! Orcas Island can be a bit more expensive, but it’s an experience you won’t forget. (And yes, there are actual orcas there!)
- 🎡Seattle - Seattle is a terrific urban experience, with shopping, city sights and nightlife, professional sports, boating excursions, shops, food, and of course, the Great Wheel at Pier 57. Also be sure to check out the world class museums and the Chihuly Garden and Glass Exhibition. You can spend a little or a lot here, so find what works for your Paycheck and roll with it.
🔥Bottom line: Whatever your pleasure, Washington most likely has it. Go big or go small, go urban or go rural. Just go, and even your Paychecks will enjoy it (probably). One last thing - if you’re going to be near Forks, don’t bother with garlic or silver, as they won’t work. Try a flamethrower instead. You’re welcome!
