Here Come The Drones! Walmart Introduces Drone Deliveries

What was once a science fiction dream is now a reality! 🚁 Just when you thought Amazon was as quick as it gets, here come the Walmart drones. Big daddy Walmart's launching drone deliveries in six states by the end of 2022.📦

Despite Walmart and other retailers seeing a significant drop off in sales lately, they're committed to getting their program up and flying. 🚀

Here’s Five Fast Facts about the new drone delivery program:

1. 📦 Coming Soon - Walmart's providing drone deliveries across 34 sites in the following states: Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Texas, Utah, and Virginia.
2. 🐕 Are We Warning The Dogs? - Their goal is to deliver more than a million packages a year by drone across four million households. Did anyone talk to the family dog community about this?? 
3. 💊 Light Fare - The drones can carry packages up to ten pounds. There are tens of thousands of drone-friendly items to choose, including diapers and OTC medications. 
4. 💲 The Guac Is Extra - The fee for drone delivery is $3.99.
5. ⌚ Operating Hours - Delivery services aren't quite 24/7 yet. Walmart says drones will be making deliveries between the hours of 8:00am and 8:00pm

🔥Bottom line: Drone delivery is certainly going to be fun to watch 👀. It will be interesting to see if it actually makes people's lives more convenient, or if it's just a fly-by trend. Either way, we'll be preparing our porches. And our pooches. 💥🐶
