Hey, Big Spender! What PA Governor Candidates are Spending on Campaigns

While Kanye ("Wild") West is out here busting some pretty outrageous moves, the race for PA governor is getting hotter than Kim K's "movie career"! (You're doing amazing, sweetie.) 🎥💞

The two candidates for PA governor sure are making waves in the spending department, and one candidate's running up a record-breaking bill. Candidates Josh Shapiro (D) and Doug Mastriano (R) are in a final boss battle, and we have the receipts.🧾

Here’s Five Fast Facts on the price tag of the PA governor's race:

  1. 👛 Nickels and Dimes - Shapiro has reportedly received over $5.5 million so far from the Democratic Governors Association. Mastriano claims he hasn't received a dime from the GOP.
  2. 🏦 Money in the Bank - According to the latest campaign records, Shapiro has outspent Mastriano by 16 to 1, and he still has $11 million in the bank.
  3. 🤑 Just Joshin' - Shapiro's current spending totals $44 million. This beats Ed Rendell's record of $42 million during the 2001/2002 election.
  4. 💵 Ballin' on a Budget - Mastriano's spending totals $3 million, and he reports having $2.6 million left.
  5. 🕺 Teach Me How To Dougie - Mastriano's biggest campaign donors are Dick Uihlein and his wife. They're the founders of supply company Uline and Dick is the heir to the Schlitz brewing fortune. It's reported they gave $1 million to Dougie.

🔥Bottom line: While we're unsure if anyone's still donating to Ye's "Birthday Party", we have a good idea of where other mainstream candidates are getting their money. Or at least we'll have to take their word for it. Regardless of the price tag, both PA governor candidates are making waves and it's been one epic battle so far. By the way, you best be getting your rump to the polls...NO EXCUSES!
