Hey Boomer! Cord Cutting Is Easier (and Better) Than You Think!

You’ve probably heard the phrase “cord cutting” at least once in the past 10 years. If you’re unfamiliar with it or have been on the fence about whether or not it works for you, you’re in luck!

Here’s Five Fast Facts …… :

  1. ✂️ What Is It? - In short: cord cutting means getting rid of your cable service and switching to other sources like over-the-air channels and on-demand digital streaming services like Netflix.
  2. 📡 Why Should I? - The average household cable package with internet is now $220 a month, that’s a great reason by itself. Considering a basic Netflix subscription can run as low as $6.50 a month. It doesn’t take a math scholar to see the difference.
  3. 📺 How Do I Get It? - You can use a variety of devices like smart TVs, FireStick, Google Chromecast, Roku, Apple TV, and even your computer or smartphone!
  4. 😮‍💨 What About Local Channels? - You’re in luck. You can buy a digital HD antenna for as low as $10 at just about any big box store. Just make sure it has the range you need. It’ll get you access to some over-the-air channels you didn’t even know existed. For Fox News and 24/7 Hunter Biden’s Laptop coverage, you’ll have to use YouTube.
  5. 📶 Hold On - It is VERY important you make sure your internet service runs at 10 megabits per second. If not, that might require a bit of a price and equipment upgrade, but most providers offer specials for such a move.

🔥Bottom line: There’s absolutely no way you’re watching all those channels you pay for. On-demand streaming services let you watch exactly what you want when you want at a fraction of the price and a minimal investment. Get those scissors out and start cutting!
