If you have a Gen Alpha at home, they may have called you “Ohio”. 💁🏻 Hate to break it to you, but they think you’re the ultimate cringe machine. 😑
Before you get offended, get even. How, you might ask? Well, hit them with the cold hard truth: Ohio is a number one sports state! ☝️ How’s that for some skibidi rizz?
Here’s Five Fast Facts on Ohio and sports:
- 🥇 Buckeye Ballin’ - A new study from SmileHub looked at 20 metrics across all 50 states to determine who’s the best. They got their data from a bunch of sources, including government agencies, private businesses, and professional sports teams. And guess who came out number one for sports fans? Ohio, baby.
- 🏟️ Fan-tastic - Why the top spot? Ohio has the largest number of sports-related jobs per capita. They also have a decent number of professional teams (5th most out of the rest of the nation), strong fan engagement, and a track record of athletic success.
- 🍻 I Want to Beer-lieve - Want more bragging rights to share at the water cooler? Ohio’s also home to the most sports bars per capita in the country. We’ll drink to that! The Buckeye State also boasts the 6th most college championship wins in the country.
- 💪 Chart Toppers - What about the runners up? New York snagged the number two spot. That’s due to a ton of sports charities and sports teams with raving fan bases there. Third, we have Illinois. California took number four and rounding out the top five is Indiana.
- 💩 Bottoms Up - OK now for the stinkers. Hawaii came in last. Alaska, Idaho, New Mexico, and Oklahoma were also at the bottom of the list. No surprises there, since none of those states have a huge sports presence. No one’s going to Hawaii for the tailgate.
🔥Bottom line: Screw what the kids say about Ohio. GO BENGALS. Hey, this world is full of crazy creeps and scams are at an all-time high. To protect your piggy bank from predators, take a little time and set up fraud alerts. We’ll walk you through how to do it in this article.
