
Michigan recently got a report card on its economy and education, and the results are basically “wait, what??” A new statewide poll of 600 registered voters found that Michigan’s rankings in things like income, jobs, and education have been sliding toward the bottom of the national list...but most voters think the state is doing just fine.

🔥Bottom line: Michigan’s economy and education rankings have been sliding down the national leaderboard for years. Unfortunately, many voters think everything is basically fine, like someone calmly sipping coffee while the house burns down around them. Before the state can climb back up the rankings - meaning normal folks are making better paychecks - people first need to realize they’re not currently winning the race. It’s hard to fix problems when people don’t know they exist.
