Michigan DNR Hiring For Fall Hunting Season

Football, bonfires, pumpkin spiced everything – oh my. Fall is almost here, and the state of Michigan’s Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is getting ready for hunting season by hiring seasonal workers. 

 

Here’s Five Fast Facts about Working for the DNR …… :

  1. 👨‍💼 Reporting for Duty - Jobs are available at field offices, state game areas, and customer service centers. Duties include holding drawings for waterfowl hunting areas, data entry, assisting the public with questions, and chronic wasting disease surveillance.  
  2. 💲 The Benjamins - Pay starts between $11.50 and $18.47 per hour, depending on the position.
  3. 👍 Are You The One? - The DNR says these jobs are great for college kids, people trying to reenter the workforce, and retirees. Working in the great outdoors sure beats being a Wal-Mart greeter!
  4. 📈 Moving on Up - Looking for something more permanent? If you really, really love the outdoors, consider a career as a DNR officer. The training takes 22 weeks, and the average salary is around $60k.
