We always love sharing good job news, and today we’ve got a bunch! Not only are there new jobs projected from these news stories, but they are really good, high end jobs for Washington!
Here are Five Fast Facts on new high end jobs cooking in Washington State:
- 💰 The Government - The state itself has listed a dozen new jobs in several different agencies, all paying over $80k! There’s health care, administration, tech, engineering, and more…and they’re either remote or optional WFH. Making $80k while wearing PJs at home? Yes, please!
- 🚀 Specialty Metals - ATI makes specialty metals for the defense and aerospace industries. It recently got a permit for a 41k-square foot expansion worth $28 million to its facility in Richland that will employ about 100 workers. We’re not sure what “specialty metals” are but that sounds fascinating!
- ☢️ Nuke It Up - Energy Northwest just signed a deal to bring a nuclear reactor to Eastern Washington by the end of 2030! It will power hundreds of thousands of homes. No fossil fuels or solar panels required.
- 👍 They’re The Pros - Energy Northwest knows what they’re doing, since they operate the only other commercial nuclear power plant in the Northwest since 1984. I mean, we wouldn’t want someone who didn’t know what they were doing for this project, right?
- 📈 More Jobs - This new nuclear project will provide job opportunities for “hundreds” of workers and families. We’ll be watching for those new jobs when they are announced in the future!
🔥Bottom line: All these great opportunities won’t sit there forever! There’s a reason we’ve just tied the record lowest unemployment rate of 3.8% - lots of great people filling all those great jobs!
