PA Summer Festival Roundup

Man, the weather forecast for the upcoming hip hop festival is crazy. They’re calling for a Lil Wayne. 😆🎤 We’d go to the rock festival instead, but last time we got arrested for selling pot to The Police…it was a Sting operation. 😱

Who needs Coachella when you have the Keystone State? 🗝️🪁 If you’re looking for fun events this summer, we’ve got you covered.

Here’s Five Fast Facts on PA’s summer festivals:

  1. 🕺 Big Willie Style - Nothing says “Happy Birthday, America” quite like fireworks and a free Will Smith concert! Wawa Welcome America runs from June 19 to July 4 as Philly celebrates the country’s 250th anniversary with concerts, museum days, and citywide events.
  1. 🎶 Free For All - Some festivals charge you $18 for water before you even hear a song. Musikfest said no way, Jose. The event returns this summer to Bethlehem as the country’s largest free, non-gated music festival. Running from July 30 to Aug. 9, the event features hundreds of live performances spread across multiple stages throughout the city.
  1. 🎨 Art Attack - If your ideal festival involves both live music and pretending you understand modern art, Pittsburgh has you covered. Three Rivers Arts Festival returns to the city from June 5-14 with free concerts, artist vendors, and large-scale visual arts programming throughout downtown.
  1. 🤘 Campus Jam - State College really said: what if we turned campus into Etsy, but with live music? Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts returns July 8-12 with hundreds of artists, live performances, and theater events spread throughout the Pennsylvania State University campus.
  1. 🫐 Village Vibes - Somewhere between live music and lawn games, Red, White, and Blueberries BBQ Bash at Peddler’s Village is peak small-town summer energy. The July 4 celebration combines barbecue favorites with family programming, patriotic entertainment, and old-fashioned games throughout the day.

🔥Bottom line: Who says you have to leave the state to find a sweet adventure? If you are heading out of town, you might have thought about picking up some travel insurance. Before you do, check out this article to make sure it’s really worth your while.
