Some Job Titles That May Disappear By 2030

Imagine waking up in 2030 and finding out that some jobs have gone extinct—like dinosaurs, but with less drama and meteors. Thanks to robots, apps, AI, and people wanting to do everything online, certain jobs are packing their bags and heading to the job graveyard. The really bad news – there could be as many as 92 million jobs gone the way of the dodo bird!

Here are Five Fast Facts on jobs that may not be around in five years:

  1. 📫 Postal Service Clerks - With everyone texting, emailing, and sending memes, who needs to mail letters? Even grandma is on Snapchat now!
  1. 🏧 Bank Tellers - ATMs and online banking have taken over. Soon, the only teller you'll know is the one in fairy tales.
  1. 📊 Data Entry Clerks - Computers are now smart enough to enter data themselves. Next, they'll probably start doing our math homework too. (Who said they would only do terrible things?)
  1. 🏪 Retail Cashiers - Self-checkout machines are everywhere. It's like playing a game: scan, beep, pay, and you're out! You do have to bag your own stuff, though.
  1. ☕ Administrative Assistants - Virtual assistants like Siri and Alexa are taking over. They don't need coffee breaks or vacations. They’ll just silently judge your typos and poor grammar.

🔥Bottom line: The job world is changing faster than fashion trends. While some jobs are disappearing, the good news is that new ones are popping up — like drone pilots or virtual reality tour guides. In fact, projections say as many as 170 million of those new jobs could appear! To preserve your future relevance, learn skills that will be needed alongside those robots, apps, AI, and online click-fests. Keep learning, stay curious, and maybe invent a job that doesn't even exist yet!

What jobs do you think will go extinct, and which will become a thing?
