First things first: what's the trade deficit? It's basically the amount of stuff America buys from other countries compared to the amount of stuff they buy from us. President Trump started his "liberation day" tariffs back in April 2025, and now six months later, the U.S. trade deficit has shrunk faster than your phone battery on a Zoom call. 🔥Bottom line: In the end, a lot of experts thought Trump's tariff plan would cause chaos, retaliation, and maybe a recession. Instead, all the opposite things happened - imports took a nosedive, exports stayed strong, and economists are scratching their heads saying "Wait... is the U.S. actually winning the trade war?!" Will it last? Will other countries start charging us extra for cheeseburgers? Who knows, but for now, the tariffs are flexing hard, and things keep chugging along, and that’s good news for all of our Paychecks!
