One of the biggest changes from the pandemic is working from home. At first it was a survival mechanism, but now it’s pretty firmly entrenched with a lot of workers. So where’s the best place to look for remote jobs that still pay well?
Here are Five Fast Facts about high-paying remote jobs:
- 📈 More Than Expected - A jobs site focused on high paying jobs, Ladders Inc., predicted remote jobs would grow from 18% to 25% of high paying professional jobs in 2022. By Q3, the actual number was over 36%! This proves that both employees and companies have really embraced the setup. We suspect employees are probably a little more embracing than companies, but we’ll take it either way!
- 3️⃣ Triple Down On Remote Work - During the pandemic, the percentage of people working remotely more than tripled from 5.7% to 17.9% - that’s almost 28 million people! That’s definitely not counting all of the pets and kids that join Zoom calls.
- 🏙️ City Folk - Metro areas saw the most remote job growth, with 19% of their workers being remote. Non-metro areas had just 9% remote.
- 🚫 No Thanks - The biggest obstacle for workers coming back to the office is the commute. About ⅔ of remote workers would find a new remote job if they were required to come back to the office. Count us in on that one, for sure!
