Instead of spending years and thousands of dollars on a traditional degree only to end up with a piece of paper and a crippling caffeine addiction, you can now learn how to run heavy machinery completely on the house. - 🦌 Solving For Shortages - There are around 50k manufacturing jobs open across the state of Nebraska. That's one out of every three in the state! Even the local deer population is starting to look suspiciously qualified now...
- 📝 Git 'Er Done - The Nebraska Manufacturing Alliance Credential program is sponsored by a statewide partnership of the Nebraska State Chamber Foundation, the Nebraska Department of Labor, and the state’s six community colleges. Level 1 includes seven different skill areas taught over the course of 5-8 weeks, and Levels 2-3 include nationally recognized certificates. #winning
- 💲 Follow The Money - The $7 million in funding for this initiative comes from the state's Workforce Development Program Cash Fund, and covers tuition and a stipend along the way for all students going through the program. It's an all-expenses-paid fast track to happier paychecks!
- 👍 You're In - To get in, you can be a high school student, an adult studying for a GED, a recent graduate, or a current industry professional looking to upskill into higher-paying roles. But hurry, it's only a two-year program!
- 🎓 Early Returns - Early results are already rolling in with fifty Nebraskans currently enrolled or finishing their credentials. Another five hundred total graduates are expected for the program.
