Here’s Five Fast Facts on Wisconsin’s WHH Program …… :
- 🏘️What Is It? - It’s a statewide program called Wisconsin Help for Homeowners (WHH). The program launched in March of this year. It awards up to $40,000 per household. That’s like… a lot!
- 🏠Bills, Bills, Bills - It’s available to Wisconsin homeowners with overdue housing-related bills. We’re talkin’ about folks with and without a mortgage who have experienced a qualified economic hardship since January 21, 2020.
- 🏡Do I qualify? - In order to be eligible, you must own and live in a single-family home, duplex, condo or factory built home. Your income must be less than or equal to 100% of the US or county median, whichever is greater, and you have to have been financially impacted since Jan. 21st of 2020.
- 🏚️Are People Really Getting This? - Definitely. Racine County residents alone have pulled in a total of $350,000 in aid.
- ✍️Sign Me Up, Bruh - You can apply here. If you’re interested, act fast because the deadline is September 30th of this year. It’s also awarded on a first-come, first-served basis, so don’t wait around.
🔥Bottom line: Apparently word hasn’t spread far enough since the folks at the Capitol building are still getting the word out. Even if it’s coming two years later, it’s still a nice bump that might help residents (including your family, friends, and neighbors) get things back on track.
