Heading Down the Shore? Prices Are Heading Up.

Down the shore, everything's alright! Besides our wallets 😕. With inflation hitting everyone harder than a rogue wave, the Jersey Shore is no exception 🌊.

From insanely high rental rates to $25 pizza pies, price hikes have even the most loyal beachgoers rethinking their plans. Because looking at the dinner bill and wondering if it's your phone number is...well, not so relaxing 💁.

Here’s Five Fast Facts on the rising prices down the shore:

1. 😎 No Thanks, I'll Take a Towel - Supply chain issues and inventory shortages are affecting everything, including beach chairs. We're talking $60 a pop at some shops. 
2. 🏌 Under the Boardwalk - Staffing shortages mean higher paying boardwalk jobs - up to $21.50 an hour for a mini golf manager. But rents are sky-high as well, and it's been tough to find employees that can afford to live close by.
3. 🏠 #RentProblems - The cost of weekly rentals in popular towns like Avalon have increased - in some cases, by the thousands. And Airbnbs in Ocean City are averaging $712...per night.
4. 🥒 In a Pickle - Calling all Stone Harbor pickleball enthusiasts! Your membership just went from $90 to $250. Might as well ditch the game and head to the Windrift instead.
5. 🚮Trashed - Local communities like Wildwood are paying more than ever for trash services. The high cost of diesel fuel is the most concerning.
