Struggling with Finances? It Could Be Your Mindset

How do we stay focused on crushing our goals? With our minds on our money and our money on our minds! 🫡💰 Unfortunately these days, having our minds on our money gives us crippling anxiety and slight diarrhea. 💩

All crappy money thoughts aside, your mindset could be to blame for some of your financial problems. Check out these five ways you could be self sabotaging. ⏬

Here’s Five Fast Facts on finances and your mindset

  1. 🗣️ Talk Is Cheap - If you love a good bargain or are a coupon queen, don’t call yourself cheap. It’s negative AF. Being frugal is a total flex and nothing to be ashamed of! Instead of poo-pooing your cost cutting habits, be proud of your street smarts.
  2. 🍦 Sweet Treat - If you’re struggling to make ends meet, it’s easy to hate spending money. However, hating on spending could make you miss out on treating yourself when you’ve got a little extra. If buying a (reasonable) treat makes you happy, it’s worth it.
  1. 😵 Tax Attack - Ew, who invited the tax man?! Paying taxes is a necessity, but it’s easy to hate doing so. Especially when we’re not 100% sure where our hard earned money is really going. Try to think tax positive and picture your dollars going towards maintaining your community. A noble cause!
  1. 🧑‍⚖️ Judge Judy - Throwing shade on your neighbors for splurging on another luxury cruise? Think twice. Hating on people for how they spend their money can be toxic. How you’d spend extra cash might be way different than the guy next door, and that’s OK. Plus, you never know - those neighbors could be up to their necks in debt.
  1. 🤸 Mental Gymnastics - Sometimes we try to make ourselves feel better about spending by justifying every purchase. But remember: sometimes you can buy things just because it makes you feel good. If there’s no reason other than you wanted to, that’s OK (as long as you’re not maxing out that credit card).

🔥Bottom line: Want more money raps? OK, we’ll drop it like it’s hot. And by drop it, we mean housing prices. They’re coming down in some places, but rising in others. Wondering what the housing market is doing in your neck of the woods? Check out this article!
