While we’re toasting to good times on campus, we thought we’d share some info on a grant program with a sweet hookup. 💵 When you’re done with that keg stand, have a seat and read through this! 👇
Here’s Five Fast Facts on the state’s Grow PA Grant:
- 🧞 Wishes Granted - Are you a PA college student willing to stick around after graduation? The state has a little bribe for you. The Grow PA Grant is officially open for the 2026–2027 school year, and it offers up to $5,000 a year toward your education.
- 🌱 Planting Roots - The grant hit the scene after Pennsylvania realized it was educating students who then packed up and left. The program targets industries struggling to keep grads around, which means applicants need to be enrolled in an approved, in-demand field.
- 😎 Future So Bright - The Grow PA Grant helped 5,700 students in 2025. Demand has been strong enough that lawmakers added $7.5M to the 2026 state budget. Pro tip: scholarships are awarded first come, first served. Don’t procrastinate!
- 👀 The Fine Print - The money is free, as long as you keep your end of the deal. If recipients don’t meet the residency requirements, the grant has to be paid back…plus interest.
- ✅ Get With the Program - Eligible majors include nursing, criminal justice, computer science, and several education fields. Wanna see a full list of the 460 qualifying programs and apply? Check out the PHEAA website.
